This recipe includes our Vanilla Bean WPI for a protein boost, making these pancakes energising and the perfect post-workout snack.

For a plant-based alternative, swap the WPI for a plant-based protein powder, and swap the egg for a mashed banana or a tablespoon of chia seeds.

Bare Blends Protein Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cup plain flour or gluten free flour
  • 30 gm Vanilla Bean WPI - Vanilla Bean WPI
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 cup pure maple syrup or sweetener of choice
  • pinch salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 cup milk or nut milk

Directions

  1. Simply place all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix to combine.
  2. Lightly spray fry pan with coconut or rice bran oil.
  3. Bring pan to a low-medium heat then add the pancake batter (approximately 3-4 tablespoons at a time) to form each pancake.
  4. Once little bubbles appear over the batter it’s time to flip!
  5. Serve with fresh berries, banana, pure maple syrup, coconut yoghurt or get creative with your own toppings.
